The CH-86 Elevated Heliport lights are used as perimeter lighting for helipads. The distinctive rugged construction, low power consumption, long lasting physiologically designed cold cathode lamp, and low maintenance provide the user with a light that will give many years of continuous service.
In 1998, Litebeams introduced a unique color of green light which was approved by the FAA for heliport lighting. This green color has a specific nanometer setting that is most sensative to the human eye. This has proven to be the best color of light for night landings for helicopters.
